Jean Bousquet founded his brand in the early 1960’s in Nîmes, France.  The son of a successful sewing machine salesman, Bousquet was inspired to experiment with fashion design and construction at an early age.  By the time he reached his university years, it was a simple step for him to seek advanced training in fashion design.  A brief stint in a stable of professional designers spurred him to launch his own House, Le Marais, where he honed his creative aspirations and developed Cacharel.
